my work life
There have been much changes at work, primarily on job scope and salary component. Through these 6 years in working, I come to realise that I'm not an ambitious person. I thought I was one when I was much younger. But as I step into the workforce, I've been a pretty contended person as long as the following criteria are met:
1. Job Satisfaction
Derives from boss appreciation and clinching deals, persuading clients, imparting knowledge to clients and see that they finds them useful.
2. Co-workers
I love team work. I love collaboration. I love to see team effort in a job done. Something that I don't feel very much in existence in my last job but very much prevailing in the current one. I like the love and concern that I got from co-workers when they see you needing help. It comes to you automatically. (probably all Foreceptsians are Type 2…haha)
3. Salary
The exciting part comes from commission component, not the fix salary. Something that I used to get during the 1st year of work. Later on, due to change of job scope, this was being taken off the pay package. It has come back to me recently
Why am I writing this post? Cos recent work load (A LOT) has in fact excite me rather than make me sulk. I see a purpose in what I'm working hard for. I enjoy convincing people via proposals and presentation why my ideas work. I love that sweet returns $$$ that I will be getting when I see deals go through. Basically, I'm a pretty happy person at work. That makes me wake up every morning without resistance, working late occasionally without resentment.
So to my mates out there, if you feel tired at work, probably reflect on what can actually excites you at work. What you're aiming for in work. Work forms a big part of our life and thus I find it extremely important to know you are pursuing for in work.
I've listed my top 3. What about yours? (Leyen will list 1. Money, 2. Money, 3. Money….hahaha :P)
