Yeah, that’s what my good friend Daniel commented on his life. A very optimistic statement i thought. If you’re experiencing some bad patches in life, think of the good things that have passed your life. Gosh, I just heard this song from Debbie Gibson on Class 95. It is my all-time favourite!!! I ordered this album online many years ago and I almost forgotten that I have this album!!

这一趟的中国之行让我获益良多。很多经历与震撼是无法用金钱来衡量的。所以晓蓓爸爸说得对。“明仪，你真的很幸运！”

路途的详情将稍后有个较全面的总结(Cam, Bei 和我会做个旅游册刊) 但我在这也会重点提一提所见所闻以及它们带给我的一些感想。

北京的发达
她让我感受到中国的强大与雄伟。北京机场在我眼里已超越了新加坡的樟宜机场。新加坡人一般都会觉得我们的机场是世界第一，因为政府是那么告诉我们的。但北京机场的设计与规模绝对没输给新加坡。飞机抵达后，我们得乘坐列车前往另个闸门来领取行李。机场的规模绝对有本事迎接上万的旅客量。

北京已经是个城市化的地方了。她所有的商业建筑物都具有特色，交通也挺繁忙的。我们住在王府井大饭店，离王府井街大概得走15分钟。那天晚上的气温是19度。第一回吃到了涮羊肉。Bei说我得接受一下训练，因为到了新疆那可餐餐都有羊肉。其实感觉还不错。没有忍受不了的羊味。我也第一次吃了蝎子，味道像是炸虾…hahaha…15元一串，一串有三只。Bei 吃了一只。

圆明园的颓废
她的颓废是雄伟的。现今的人类无法做到帝国时期的堂皇。她让我感受到什么叫做凄凉的美。同时她也显示了为何当时的中国会被称为东亚病夫。可笑的是，当时中国有能力把人力和财力花在奢侈的建筑上，却没能力保护它们。这也成为历史的一课吧。

千年建筑的智慧

紫禁城、颐和园、明十三陵、天坛、长城等、建筑体现了古代人的智慧以耐力。一砖一瓦与面粉和蛋浆的结合(bei问道，“哪来的那么多鸡来下那么多的鸡蛋？”…hahaha….)，耸立在眼前的一扇扇大砖门、大木门都是用人力与血汗换来的。这份艰辛的耐力恐怕很难在现代人类的身上找到。君主与奴婢的确有很大划分。君主的一声喝令便能使唤上万名的奴婢的效劳。当时人类也许很容易认命，所以可以任劳任怨一生。社会的文明与发达推翻了奴隶制度，我想，这也同时让人类失去了先辈们曾有的浓烈刻苦耐劳精神。
