It was a west to east to central trip on Sunday. Cam, Bei an I went to Pasir Ris Ericsson Farm to take a look at Kuro’s future brother – a boston terrier! It’ll take little bosty (hey! this sounds nice too!) another 2 to 3 months before he is welcomed into the Seh family ba…

Cute Kuro had a 2-3hour spa session with the groomer there. So Shiro went for her walk at pasir ris park with a group of us and a cute ashley who always let go of the leash whenever shiro goes too fast…haha..

Had a dinner appt with yilin and Shirley at Dempsey Hut but we were early…so went for a short evening walk at botanic garden. Kuro responded extremely well to commands when he sees treats…haha…so cute to see him 三步一坐 (after 3 steps, bei will say “kuro sit”) and cam will stuff a treat into his mouth…

There was an interesting waiter at dempsey hut who is so honest with his opinions. Here’s a sample of the conversation:

Bei: What’s the soup of the day?
waiter: mushroom soup. is the soup of everyday…
Bei: ok, give me the soup of the year then…
Waiter: but is not nice…is campbell soup
Bei: is ok, i love campbell soup…hehe
Shirley: How’s the fish and chips
Waiter: not nice
Yilin: what abt this (she points)
Waiter: so-so only…

hahaha…you see how interesting he is….giving negative opinions about the food he serves…

after our meal, we wanted ice-cream and calls him over…

bei: you serve ice-cream?
waiter: yes, but not nice, you can go east coast park….is nicer there…or dempsey hill ben and jerry

hahaha…anyway, we didn’t have ice-cream…but he serves us free brownies as it was yilin’s birthday…so is on the house!

bei: so is this brownie nice?
waiter: yes, is good…cos we bought it from elsewhere….
(HAHAHAHAHA)
bei: hey, you talked like someone from a competing restaurant
waiter whispers: hehe…cos i work part-time here only….

Was back at bei’s place after my birthday dinner at brewerkz. Kuro and Cash had finally played with each other after hours of interaction. And, very happy to see Kuro starting his attempts at steps climbing at Clarke Quay!!

Had a 爱心生日面线at 1am+ though no wine, no pepper…. but it still taste good! haha….No red eggs but got very nice fried eggs accompanying the mee sua

then…time for shower….Cam lured Kuro into the bathroom with me!!! wahahaha…and so my body is shown to a MALE….for the 1st time in my life on my 29th birthday….hahaha…he stood so still in front of me most of the time….but when I came out of shower, he started licking the water off my legs….hahaha…

ok…so that’s how i spent the 1st 2 hours of my birthday…looking forward to the rest of day as I’m collecting Shiro!!!! I shoud start a shiro category soon!

2007 has been a fruitful year for me for work wise. doing something i like and enjoyed for work is very important.
2007 has also been a year whereby I've broken personal record in watching movies. I've not watched more than 10 movies in a year. But if I add up all I watched in cinemas and DVDs….perhaps is near 20! haha

I had a very good break during the last few days of 2007 as I'm spending the days with people I love. Here's how I spent the last few days of 2007.

24th Dec – Hang out with my JC mates as usual and played with Baby Charlotte (Weiling and Dominique's daughter)

25th to 28th Dec – Trip to Bintan. Place is lousy but company is great. I still enjoy the trip. At least is one of those days that I don't get to touch computers at all and receive clients' calls. Had a cheap body massage. Enjoyed the late night talks with Bei too. Cam is as usual so soundly asleep and remained undisturbed by our movements, gigglings, laughters…etc

29th to 30th Dec – Hang out with Bei and family at Ho Wah and her place….watched Resident Evil 1, 881, Invasion (on DVDs) and to Vivo for the movie Warlords and ended up we keep saying 大哥是对的！

31st Dec – Bring Kuro to vet, fetch ashley to Howah, came home for BBQ session at night. Took quite a number of photos as we round up our account of how long we knew each other.

1st Jan – walked Kuro in the morning and watched another movie – I am Legend.

well, some silly stuff happened on 1st Jan that soured some friendship. This makes me ponder of the topic of friendship, good friends, etc. Here's an important note that I always stood by for all my friends.

Do not expect similar returns from a friend. This is important. It can be hurtful to yourself if you always expecting returns from a friend. Everybody has different standards and quantum on how they treat friends and family.

You baked a cake for a friend on his/her birthday. Your friend gave you a cup cake he/she bought last minute. Stay Happy! That's the best your friend could do given the situation. Don't expect your friend to learn how to bake a cake and surprise you with it.

Habour simple thoughts and expectations on your friends, you'll live much more happier as you can be easily thrilled and surprised by them when they do things out of their usual self.

Be accommodating in situations. they don't breathe just for you. You do not want to upset your friends or leave a bad impression to their friends/family. Thus, react wisely and virtuously in situations that requires you to do so.

Yup, here's my simple sharing on how to be a good friend and is something that I always stood by. I'm not perfect at it but I hope to be as good as I can be.
