Happy New Year! Hope that you guys out there moo your way through the year with a grin

Updates updates….start from where leh….haha….I bought a new phone. Sony Ericsson Xperia 1. I owned 2 Sony Ericsson monochrome phones (GH688 and T39), Sony Ericsson K700i, W810i, P1i and now X1i. This is a magnificent list right? hahaha….I thought I would have landed up with a Nokia this time round but yah….SE still wins my heart and this is my first windows mobile phone as well. So far so good. Loving it as Wifi is good on this phone and I even checked my email without my laptop now. Been following some forums on tweaks, hacks, fixes to make this phone even more robust (must live up to my name of being a computer geek mah!) Here’s some photos taken with this phone.

Got to know that my 师公passed away on Christmas Day when I went to 拜年yesterday. He was 97 year old. Hope you will be well in the other world. Will always remember your bleaming smile and devoted care and love for my family. I only got to comprehend his shanghainese sounding mandarin in recent years.

Finally get to know my bonus for 2008. Nothing to cheer about…maybe that’s an indicator to me to seek for greener pasture? well….I shall see…

Shiro is becoming quite well behaved lately except that she still peed at excitement. I brought her to hillview during CNY and before I can finish greeting everyone, down on the floor I am kneeling down to wipe her splashes of excitement upon seeing Kuro. Oh yea….she does her same “stunt” at Ashley (my neighbour) house as well when she sees JoJo. B.

I’m expecting a mahjong session tonight. I won $330 over the 1st 2 days of CNY but never collect any winnings (as usual ) tonight I’m going to wipe my colleagues’ wallets….wahahahaha….

okok….have a great year ahead everyone!!! I see some big plans ahead of me this year. Going to be THIRTY and MIGHTY!!!

It has been almost a month since I update this blog. Many things have happened, good and bad. I’m kept busy at work most of the time. Hasn’t got the time to have a leisure walk with Shiro for a long time. I missed having fun with her over the weekends as well.

Late August

• Had a BBQ on bei’s birthday. Always enjoyed the bbq sessions at hillview way. though it was drizzling, but all went well.
• The following weekend was another group outing with bei’s BU mates. Shuang back for good. MeiKi here for Cammy’s graduation, Faye is here for her weekend break and haircut and heal her after-rave-leg injury…haha…seemed to eat a lot that day i remembered

Early September

• 1 Sep: appointment at tan tock seng. fixed appt for a minor surgery in late sep. nothing serious…
• Was left laptop-less for a week. My work laptop was down with a spoilt motherboard, harddisk and battery. luckily it was under warranty, else it would have cost $900+
• 4th to 7th Sep: JB/Kota Tinggi. Just realised my colleagues took 3GB of photos. was doing grocery shopping and bought 80 chicken wings + other stuff. Marination took us 2.5hours which I only manage to sleep only at 3am.
  It was like a food marathon. From Dim Sum to BBQ to KFC to nice street side chendol, seafood dinner, bah kut teh….i need a fasting!! We walked the jungle after bah kut teh which we all had a leech attack. I was left with bloody knee for 1hour. Strange thing is it doesn’t hurt. The leech dropped off my knee when it’s full of my blood…gross!
• 12 sep: impromptu mid-autumn festival gathering at Primary school. I’m going back Bedok tonight.

Bei’s room is almost done except for wallpaper and aircon. Got a virtual tour from her 2 days ago when she toured me around in her web-cam. looking forward to pay her a visit soon.

oh yah, i’m supposed to publish a list of things that bei has dismantled before. So here it goes:

ok…that’s about it…wordpress has released at least 2 updates…time to update my blog engine again. what else? gotta attend Liyi’s wedding this sunday. yah…that’s about it….

Things came in very impromptu for the entire week. Same goes for the weekend. Friday night was a dine out session with my JC mates at..erm….Swensens…haha…we couldn’t reach a conclusion on MSN on where to eat an hour before we meet…so we decided on a long-time-never-visit restaurant…

Wanted to have KTV opposite Bugis Junction but it was full without prior booking. We called Selywn who was supposed to join us after dinner for alternative. He suggested Liang Court Party World which just opened for business recently. We were skeptical about what Mr Sel suggested initially…cos no one had any impression about a KTV at Liang Court. But he was right. The KTV smelt of new glues and wallpaper when we stepped in. Is extremely clean and good sound system as well…haha…I shall suggest it for our next KTV outing with my regs.

Went Geylang for supper till 3am. I drove Sel’s Suzuki Swift back to my home from Leyen’s place. Is quite a powerful car…maybe because manual car has more speed control….haha…by the time I hit the bed, it was 430am.

Woke up next morning at 9 plus as I need to go Malaysia to attend a funeral. Meeting my colleagues at office area at 10 plus. We reached Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 11am. The 1.5hour boat ride almost suffocate me to death. I had some panick moments as well cos I couldn’t really breathe well…was fanning myself with the small Singapore passport…but all is well, i just ended up with lots of sweat after the ride. We alight at Sebana…followed by a 15mins car ride to Leepeng’s hometown. But is ok, we had a hearty lunch of cheap lobsters and ostrich meat which is supposed to be cheap at his hometown. I realised I can walk slower at this relax atmosphere. very rustic feel, coconut trees, sea breeze…I plucked some chili padi off his garden to bring home as well.

Reached Singapore near 6pm…had another nice dinner at Charlie’s corner at Changi Village. This place hasn’t changed much since I last visited it years ago. I rather it remained this way.

And now, 1.22pm on a Sunday afternoon, I just finished lunch with colleagues….yeah…back in office for meeting at 10am. I realised I hadn’t walked Shiro the whole week cos by the time I reach home after work, is after 9pm. I took her downstairs this morning for her morning pee before I walked to office….i realised her head is bigger now…hahaha…

ok, i so boliao…still waiting for some colleagues to be back from church and appt before my meeting continues…
