Expensive Japanese Food Tasting
Went to Rakuichi restaurant yesterday and had a good Japanese dinner. Heard a lot about Dempsey and finally I’m at Dempsey hill. The whole place is like out of the world. with high class “squatters” look-alike restaurants around each other. The middle portion is carpark compound with a little fountain. There’s a funny Ferrari parked under an umbrella…and some other expensive cars around. There are mexican, Indian, Western, Wine bar, Japanese, Ben & Jerry, etc etc food in there.
Here are 2 pictures that I took from the dinner we took. The maki is nicely cut with different slices of fish on it top with avocado. I had tasted my first live oyster too. And forgotten what’s the name of that poisonous fish with thorns on it when it blew itself into a balloon. But yeah, it tasted like ba gua….haha…and I love Salmon Belly…the wasabi was also raw from the root
They sell exotic food like sea urchin, some other funny shells stuff as well…haha…
The bill was $155 (after my UOB discount…haha…). That’s less than half the amount Royston ate last time. He ordered too much exotic last time…haha…$380!!
