Skype Down Day Explanation
Saw the most hilarious explanation offered by an IT Giant today. i think many skype users out there will experience the same problem as me last Friday. Initially I thought it was just ME, but my colleagues in Malaysia can't get on as well and I concluded it might be a general worldwide problem. So Skype is up and running when I'm back to work again on Monday. It said it'll offer an official explanation soon and they kept their promise, I saw their "hilarious" explanation on google desktop RSS feed today…they claimed it was "Microsoft patch" that caused millions of computers to shut down during the same time of the day and this breaks off millions of P2P connections and thus the network is down.
Then they have a 2nd reason (But is a spinoff from reason 1). Thus, it drives millions of users out there to rely back to skype's internal network that caused the strain in their network and thus it collapsed the entire skype network.
Who's buying this explanation? Well, even if its true, they could be explaining it with professionalism, rather than saying like a kid pushing blame to others and at the same time, while trying to explain, brings out more fault out of himself.
